For starters, we’ll be showcasing a 2014
Subaru XV Crosstrek outfitted with a hidden EcoHitch and Thule
bike rack.
How hidden is the EcoHitch?
We’re going to have the rear of the Subie propped up in the air just to
prove that it really does exist.
To illustrate our enlightened fashion sense
we’ll also be revealing a new EcoHitch
clothing line for the chic Eco-Conscious
individual. Last but not least,
there will be free swag, prizes, a raffle and special show discount to be
announced soon.
Besides its abundance of vendors, the Seattle Bike Expo deserves its reputation as a force for
proliferating bike culture. Guests
will have access to an impressive range of educational services to learn from
and interact with industry experts.
Topics include how to build your own bike, find the best places to ride
in Washington and abroad, avoid bike injuries, go on an effective bicycle diet,
ride like a professional cyclist and much more.
For the vertically challenged crowd, the show
will also feature a Kid’s Zone. Here, kids can learn to ride, take a spin on the Wheelie Fun
Stunt Course, make jewelry and art out of used bike parts, and go on a treasure
hunt that challenges their intellect.
Guests of all ages should pay a visit to the
hub of the show at the Cascade booth on the second floor. Visitors can load up on even more swag,
learn about youth programs, free group rides, events and advocacy work.
Perhaps most emblematic of the show ethos,
anyone who donates a used bike to Bike Works onsite will get in for free. Bike Works will refurbish the old bike and
get it into the hands of a deserving person in the community through their
youth and adult programs.
Don’t miss Torklift Central at the 2014 Seattle Bike Expo March 1st-2nd. We’ll be announcing our special show discount soon. Like us on Facebook to hear the news.
